Maxxis Receives Award from Toyota

Toyota presented a Regional Contribution Award for the Asia/Pacific region to Cheng Shin Rubber Ind. Co., Ltd., d/b/a Maxxis International, at its 2011 Global Suppliers Convention. The convention was held February 25 at the Nagoya Congress Center in Nagoya, Japan.
Mr. Fujio Cho, the chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, presented the award to Mr. Wally Chen, president of Maxxis International. Mr. Chen was later a guest at a dinner hosted by Toyota, where attendees included Mr. Cho and Mr. Akio Toyoda, president of Toyota.
The award recognized Maxxis’ strong support in service and delivery, its efforts in using the Toyota Production System and the fact that Maxxis has had no quality issues for five straight years, from 2006 to 2010. The award was Maxxis’ first from Toyota in this category. Maxxis supplies passenger car, van and light truck tires to Toyota in Taiwan and China, and the two companies have enjoyed a prosperous and mutually beneficial relationship since 1986.
Maxxis is honored by this recognition and thanks Toyota for this award.
